1 Thessalonians

In 1 Thessalonians Paul writes to the church in Thessalonia and encourages them to stand fast in spite of persecution against them which was reported by Timothy.

He tells them too, to lead a life that pleases God and not give in to immoral desires.

Further, Paul speaks about Jesus' return in 5:1 "Now brother, about times and dates we do not need to write you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night" and assures them in 5:10, "He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him."
